Hope everybuggy had a nice weekend. Our trip to camp took a turn within one hour of arrival. I was informed by staff at Lewis County General that I have a "closed radialhead fracture". (I broke my left arm again. This time in an ice skate fall) Yes, I got to reminisce about missing 4th grade Field Day and celebrating the joyous victory of the "mean green team" as I listened to snowmobiles and looked out at the ice rink and plastic sled surrounded by "the best snow all season". Or atleast that's what Noah kept calling it during our 6 hour emergency room trip the next day. Four x-rays and one sling later I was back at camp with a margaurita on Saturday. I'm feeling okay, considering I'm broken, and will be trying to find a local doctor to fix me tomorrow. (I said I'm okay mom, don't worry.) Will keep you all posted.

Mr. and Mrs. Meyer~
I just wanted to say that I am very excited about your visit this weekend. We don't have anything major planned, but I would like to have Eileen, Jonas, Brian and Thomas over on Saturday afternoon for lunch. I thought it would be nice if we could all get together while you are here. Jason is sending them an e-mail to invite them over. Hopefully the weather will be nice. Have a safe trip and I look forward to seeing you both soon.

This is snow

These were taken around 1:30 We had around 15 inches. This was good enough for Mom to get a 2 hour delay on Monday. It finally stopped aeound 4 PM.

Louisiana Dog Adds Snow to Diet

Gizmo has officially made it through his first snowstorm and we think he likes it. He seems to be interested in the yellow snow though. We're working on it.

We got about 6-7 inches, hope you guys are enjoying/tolerating the snow.

Arrived in Atlanta, GA safe and early. Landed at 8:00AM.
Cameron and Oliver are having a sleepover at Gma & Gpa's (Noah's parents)house tonight. They were excited about picking room(s) to sleep in and sharing the chocolate chip cookies they helped make.

Nemo Undies!

Extreme Makeover, Sunday Feb. 12

That's right everyone! If anyone is interested in Blacksburg or Virginia Tech, from what I understand both will be well represented in a 2 HOUR SPECTACULAR on Sunday, Feb. 12th. I believe it starts at 7pm eastern time on ABC. Just so everyone knows, I probably didn't make the final cut to primetime.

Still catching up

The latest scoop about Kate and I down here is that Kate has indeed found a job. She'll be working at Family Preservation Services and her position will be as an In-Home Counselor. She's really looking forward to it and she starts this Monday. So everything is going great: Kate has a job, Gizmo knows how to give "high-fives", and I'm deciding whether or not to do a thesis at school. Talk to everyone soon.
Howdy everyone. Now that we've finally sat down to post some stuff, here's Gizmo throughout various stages such as his cramped transport from Louisiana to Virginia as well as his Purple Ball chasing adventures on our deck. As you can see, we were forced to give a little extra protection as he begins to grow accustomed to these harsh (?) Virginia winters. And if there's no disagreement perhaps we can put in a nomination for Gizmo to be considered Hawk (what number we on?) maybe 4 or 5? He keeps an eye out on probably the quietest street in Blacksburg. Actually there's a few dogs in the area, but Gizmo keeps his nose clean. Talk to everyone soon.

Our House

Greetings Meyer Family. Here is a bulk update to the blog now that we've found time to sit down and use the world wide web. If you look to your right you'll see basically how our living room and kitchen/dining areas now look. And we also have a bit of a "before" set of pictures of the same areas. The status right now is that we have most of the things where we want them and as you can see, Gizmo is settling in nicely. That's all for now. Talk to everyone soon.
