Nanna and Poppy's Visit

We had a great time visiting with Nanna and Poppy this past week. Lily made strange with them when they first arrived, but by the afternoon of the following day she was allowing both of them to hold her. Poppy taught her a new game called "Round, round Lily baby" that she laughed at each time he played with her. Lily especially liked the necklaces that Nanna and Poppy wear and spent a lot of time grabbing and pulling on them.

The weather was lovely the last few days Nanna and Poppy were here so we got to spend quite a bit of time outside going for walks, playing and creating steps off our deck as well as staining our front porch. We are Extremely grateful for all the help!

Nanna got to feed Lily most of her meals while she was here and see Lily eat grapes, melon and spaghetti noodles for the first time!

We had a little birthday celebration for Nanna on her birthday and for once she did not have to share the celebration day with Gizmo!

It was so wonderful to see you both and we are grateful you made the trip down to see us! We look forward to seeing you guys again soon.

2009 is here

I rolled over for the first time on December 9th!

The Transformation

We got an earlier appointment than expected for Gizmo and are so glad we did! He looks like himself again and was definitely happier when he came home from the groomer. He can actually see again and smells so wonderful! It almost looks like we came home with a different dog, but we know it's him.
It was great to see everyone for Thanksgiving. Thanks for putting up with our scruffy dog.

Cameron turns the big 7!

Lily wanted to wish Cameron a happy 7th birthday. The signs were quickly destroyed seconds later by a little girl who didn't let anything get between her mouth and her thumb. We are all looking forward to visiting New York to see everyone. Hope you enjoyed your birthday Cameron and hope you enjoyed your Laffy Taffy Sir Oliver.

I've watched Mommy and Daddy put pictures on the internet, so I hope I'm doing this right. I just wanted to send you a message on your birthday, and say hi. Also, I heard you stick out your tongue when you're concentrating on something. It looks like I do too! I'm looking forward to seeing you in a few weeks. Tell Nanna that she can squeeze my cheeks when I see her.

Welcome to the world Elliot!

Glad to hear Mom and baby boy are doing well. Just wanted to say "Welcome" from down in Virginia to the newest addition to the family. I hope I spelt his name right. Elliot, your cousin Lily blows up a birthday kiss with her soggy hand. Love everyone.

The Vineyard

Kate, Lily, and I spent the afternoon remembering our wedding 2 years ago. A lot more grapes and lots of tiki torches seemed to be the latest at Valhalla Vineyard. We also took the opportunity to sample some Maggie Moo's ice cream in honor of our wedding ice cream peanut butter cake, which still lingers in our memories. Finally, out for dinner in Roanoke (after dessert), and Lily seemed to have a good time even though she was probably sick of the car seat by now. Thanks again for everyone who came from New York for that special weekend. We definitely have good memories (although the memory of picking up Chris & Jane at the airport around 2ish in the morning is a bit hazy). Hope all are well.
